The shires of Orange, Cabonne and Blayney are known as 'The Food Basket' of NSW and each year F.O.O.D. Week (Food Of Orange District) supports local produce and 'fine food' with an annual event held over 10 days - in April showcasing the producers, their products, the local chefs and restaurants, and other enterprises that provide the region with its great reputation for fine food and wine.
Offering everything from wine tasting to farm gate tours, cooking demonstrations, cabaret, music and picnics to a huge 'Night Market' and the Essential Energy Food Affair, plus the 100-Mile Dinner hosted by the F.O.O.D Week committee and the people of Canowindra featuring dishes made from local produce sourced within a 100-Miles of Orange.
Major F.O.O.D Week events and dates are as follows;
- Friday 13th April: Night Market in Robertson Park
- Saturday 13th April: Orange Regional Farmers Markets
- Monday 16th April: 100 Mile Dinner in Canowindra
- Saturday 21st April: FORAGE
- Sunday 22nd April: A new look F.O.O.D Affair Event
Orange FOOD Week Cellar Door Opening Hours
Saturday, 14th April 2012April welcomes F.O.O.D Week - known as 'The Food Basket' of NSW, Orange will tantalise your taste buds and you will want to come back for more!
Our Cellar Door will be open from 10:00am - 5:00pm at the Wentworth Golf Club, on Ploughmans Lane on the following dates:

Cost: Free to enter, with wine tasting packages starting at just $25.
It is one of the country's largest wine and food tasting events and in 2012 will be bigger than ever with a new layout in Hyde Park running along the length of Park Street in Sydney's city centre. With around 100 talented winemakers from NSW's 14 diverse wine regions, a vast array of exciting new wine and food styles, accompanied by all day live music and cool entertainment, creating a world-class festival atmosphere.

Quick 'n' Delicious Cooking Class at the Sydney Seafood School (Sydney Fish Markets) on 21st February 2012.
At this hands-on dinner class you will master three seafood dishes so quick you will have them on the table in no time at all for mid week family meals and so delicious you will be happy to whip them up for casual entertaining.
After the cooking demonstration and hands on cooking class, the fun begins, with everyone sitting down to enjoy their creations with a glass of Climbing Pinot Gris.
